The Future C U R I O U S project is powered by Mac Birmingham’s Next Generation programme and is currently led by Independent producer Yinka Danmole.

 The project was developed to enable young people to explore future innovation, technology and thinking through creativity. Their first summer festival saw a wide ranging, free, open access season for aspiring and emerging artists, exploring future arts practices through artist’s talks, commissions, workshops, lectures, visits and labs. 

​

The programme encouraged young and emerging artists to tinker, play, hack and respond to three key themes: Sustainability & the environment | Creative Technology, data & The Internet, Space & Place.  Urban Projections worked with the festival to beam a series of GIFS created during workshops, onto the walls of the Mac, in celebration of the closing event.
