WORK

For IBM’s annual 100% Club in Lisbon, Urban Projections developed content and creative direction for an immersive projection-mapped environment at Convento do Beato. The installation used the former convent’s architecture as a surface, transforming the interior into a dynamic backdrop for a programme of live performances.

The visual approach drew on references from across Lisbon, including street art, azulejo tile patterns and lacework. These elements were translated into a layered projection that worked across the building’s structure, wrapping colour, pattern and movement around the space.

Projection mapping was used to respond directly to the architecture, accentuating arches, surfaces and depth while allowing the visuals to shift in rhythm with the event. The environment evolved over time, supporting different performances while maintaining a consistent visual language.

The result was a site-responsive installation that brought together local visual references and digital systems, using light and projection to reframe the historic interior as an active, shared environment.
