WORK
In celebration of Pride Month 2021, Urban Projections collaborated with artist Thomas Wolski to reimagine ITV’s iconic visual identity - creating a series of twelve unique, 30-second idents that aired daily throughout July. Broadcast to over 4 million viewers each day, the work brought bold, creative visibility to the LGBTQ+ community across one of the UK’s largest networks.
Each ident fused Thomas Wolski’s intricate monochrome illustrations with vibrant bursts of colour and light, brought to life using advanced digital projection techniques. Symbolic LGBTQ+ iconography was woven into each piece, layering meaning and narrative to honour identity, community, and pride. The result was a dynamic visual language that celebrated heritage while reaching a broad, diverse audience.
Filmed over two days in Manchester, the project combined studio precision with the texture of on-location shooting to create a vivid, high-impact visual series. The idents became a core part of ITV’s Pride Month campaign - amplifying messages of inclusivity and resilience through art and technology.
This collaboration between Urban Projections, Thomas Wolski, and ITV stands as a bold, creative statement - using the language of motion and light to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride on a national stage.
