Stylus is a series of live, hand painted murals, which evolve with projected image, light and movement. It is an adventure between Digital Artist Rebecca Smith and Modern Mural Painter Pete Barber. It explores progressive forms of combining projection mapping with hand crafted image. In a live performance, both elements evolve and interact, to create a canvas of movement, light and paint. Dubbed the ‘Living Mural’, the pairs unconventional approach has led to critical acclaim from both the street and digital art communities.

Stylus was performed live at 20-22, Manchester, for Liquitex and Subism.  In a single evening, the image was hand painted and performed live in an evolving, 'living mural'.  Subtle textures, shadows, colour changes and 3D extrusions were projection mapped and VJ'd live, to intertwine with the original image.
