Multimedia Artist Rebecca Smith creates exciting projection mapped performances which are carefully wrapped around objects, buildings, stage design, people, architectural features, tin cans and pretty much anything else you can think of.  From small scale stage set, to 8-storey tower block, she has used projection mapping to develop eye-popping mixed media performances, that seemingly push the realms of possibility.

Projection Mapping is a development in projection technology, in which an image can be specifically 'placed' or 'mapped' onto the features and contours of an object.  Paired with careful pre-production, it is possible to achieve stunning results.  Rebecca has been working with Projection Mapping as an output for her work for a number of years, using the format to give seemingly extra dimension to content.

WHAT IS PROJECTION MAPPING?

With the experience, creativity and technical excellence needed to realise the many wild and wonderful uses of projection mapped content, Rebecca seeks to push the possibilities of the medium.  She strives to work with experimental materials, technologies and means of audience interaction to keep the use of the format fresh and exciting for audiences.
